Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, termed on Church buildings for religious tolerance and prayers for those people in government to overcome many issues struggling with the country.
Mr Osinbajo, who produced the remark at the inauguration of the Deeper Existence Bible Church new Headquarters Auditorium, Gbagada, Lagos, claimed that governance was a spiritual warfare.
“It is the duty of the Church, as we are, that the Church prays for the governing administration that the Church upholds the arms of people in authorities, not by complaining but by supporting us with prayers.
“Governance is a spiritual warfare, if anyone does not know that, I know. I question the Church to pray for everyone of us in the posture of authority in this land,” Mr Osinbajo pleaded.
On the edifice, Mr Osinbajo reported: “This is one of the proudest times for me as a Christian. This excellent edifice is for the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Mr Osinbajo, who counseled the edifice for its modern facilities and know-how, claimed its environment had been investments in the community with a connecting bridge, avenue lights and tremendously improved accessibility streets.
The vice president counseled the Pastor William Kumuyi, the Basic Superintendent of the Deeper Everyday living Bible Church, for his unusual humility and motivation to the unfold of the undiluted gospel of Jesus Christ.
He urged the Church to settle for that there would be resistance, saying “the satan is even additional determined and grievous as the conclusion attracts nearer”.
