PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buh-ari has charged the nation’s universities to start off the pursuit of researches and discoveries that would improve the financial system of the nation. He also solicited the help of all stakeholders in the place to enable govt accomplish its set goal.
Speaking yesterday in the course of the 22nd convocation ceremony of the University of Abuja, where he featured as a customer, Buhari reassured the viewers that his policies and programmes have been focused at developing prosperity and employment prospects for Nigerians notably the youths.
The president’s position might have been informed by a report by the National Bureau of Studies, NBS, which showed that millions of Nigerians missing their careers in the previous two years, which may have been a consequence of perceived unfavourable polices and pronouncements of govt.
Talking previously at the event, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Michael Adikwu, though attesting to the high-quality of education received by the university’s graduands, expressed optimism that their launch to the modern society would herald the socio-financial transformation of Nigeria.
In accordance to him, a overall 7,148 students, made up of 6, 902 undergraduates and 242 postgraduate pupils from 2016/2017 tutorial session, participated in the convocation that produced 16 initial course graduates.
